Škoda Auto has lifted the covers off the Vision O, its first estate concept designed “inside out” with a customer-first approach, pointing to the brand’s electrified future and next-generation Modern Solid design philosophy.
Building on its strong heritage in the Combi (estate) segment, where it has led European sales since 2016 with models like the Octavia and Superb Combi, the Vision O integrates autonomous driving capabilities, AI-powered assistance, and a sustainable materials-first approach.
From the outside, the Vision O introduces Škoda’s new Tech-loop face mask and minimalist aerodynamic styling aimed at maximising efficiency and extending range. Inside, it prioritises space, comfort and digital innovation, offering more than 650 litres of luggage capacity, a redefined Horizon Display for both front passengers, Škoda’s AI assistant Laura, and Bio-Adaptive Lighting that aligns with natural light cycles. Clever touches include a portable speaker and an integrated fridge.
Klaus Zellmer, CEO of Škoda Auto, said “This vehicle transforms every journey into an effortless, empowering experience while advancing our sustainability goals and elevating our Modern Solid design principles.”
Vision O and sustainability
Sustainability sits at the core of Vision O. The model uses circular, plant-based materials, integrates waste-free production methods, and embraces recycling and reuse of by-products. Škoda said the concept embodies its vision of reducing CO2 emissions across the entire lifecycle — from production to end-of-life recycling.
The Vision O is based on a future Volkswagen Group platform and is slated for production in the next decade. With its focus on practicality, digitalisation, and sustainability, the concept marks a bold step forward for Škoda as it seeks to extend its dominance in estates into the electric era.
