Rolls-Royce Motor Cars on Tuesday unveiled the updated Spectre Series II and Black Badge Spectre Series II, introducing improvements in driving range, charging efficiency and performance for its flagship electric coupe.

The refreshed Spectre Series II offers a WLTP-certified range of up to 390 miles (628 km), an 18 per cent increase over the outgoing model, aided by changes to battery cell technology. Charging times have also been reduced by 14 per cent, according to the company.

The performance-focused Black Badge Spectre Series II becomes the most powerful Rolls-Royce produced to date. It delivers up to 500 kW of power through a selectable Infinity Mode and as much as 1,100 Nm of torque in Spirited Mode. The standard Spectre Series II develops 442 kW and 1,015 Nm of torque.

“It amplifies the qualities our clients value most: silence, effortlessness and abundant power, confirming that Rolls-Royce is perfectly suited to electrification,” said Chris Brownridge, Chief Executive, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

Alongside technical revisions, the British luxury carmaker has expanded customisation options for customers. New interior materials include Duality Twill fabric made from bamboo-derived rayon and a perforated leather treatment featuring bespoke patterns. The cabin also receives a redesigned illuminated fascia and a new instrument-inspired clock display.

Exterior changes are relatively limited, with the company retaining the coupe’s overall design while adding a new Ethereal Blue paint finish and redesigned 23-inch forged alloy wheels.

For the Black Badge version, Rolls-Royce has introduced an optional matte-finish “Iced Black” treatment for exterior brightwork, along with a new wheel design intended to give the vehicle a more aggressive appearance.
