New Nissan MagniteNissan Motor India closed the calendar year 2025 on a strong note, posting its highest monthly export volume in a decade in December, underscoring India’s growing role as a key manufacturing and export hub for the Japanese automaker.
The company exported 13,470 units in December 2025, its highest monthly shipment figure in the last 10 years. Domestic wholesale volumes for the month totalled 1,902 units, bringing total consolidated sales to 15,372 units.
Managing Director Saurabh Vatsa said 2025 was a year of consolidation for the company, supported by steady domestic performance and a sharp surge in exports, led primarily by the New Nissan Magnite. He added that Nissan laid the groundwork for its next phase of growth during the year, with the design deep-dive and name reveal of the Nissan Tekton C-SUV in October, followed by the unveiling of the Nissan Gravite in December.
Big plans for 2026
Nissan Motor India is now preparing for a product offensive beginning early 2026. The company will launch the all-new Gravite seven-seater B-MPV on January 21, 2026, followed by the global reveal of the Nissan Tekton five-seater C-SUV on February 4, 2026. A seven-seater C-SUV is also planned for launch in 2027. All upcoming models will be manufactured in India, with the Tekton and the future seven-seater C-SUV also slated for exports under Nissan’s ‘One Car, One World’ strategy.
Exports remain a key growth pillar for the automaker. Nissan crossed the milestone of 1.2 million cumulative vehicle exports from India in 2025, with the Made-in-India New Magnite being shipped to more than 65 international markets. The Magnite also crossed the 200,000 sales mark since its launch in 2020, reflecting strong demand both domestically and overseas.
To support its expanding product portfolio, Nissan Motor India is accelerating the expansion of its dealer and aftersales network. The company plans to increase its footprint to 250 showrooms by the end of FY2027, with recent additions including new 3S facilities in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, and Hoshiarpur, Punjab.
