Maruti Suzuki India on Wednesday unveiled its latest SUV, the Victoris, expanding its sport utility vehicle portfolio. Bookings have opened for the SUV at ₹11,000, it said in an official press release.
The Victoris will be offered with multiple powertrain options, including a 1.5-litre petrol engine with Smart Hybrid, a strong hybrid with EV mode, ALLGRIP Select (4×4) system, and factory-fitted S-CNG technology featuring a first-in-segment underbody tank design to free up boot space.
“The new-age Indian customer is hyper-connected, socially aware, technologically progressive and environmentally responsible. To meet their aspirations, our new SUV the Victoris has ‘got it all’,” said Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and CEO of MSIL.
Available in 10 colours, including new shades Mystic Green and Eternal Blue, the Victoris is positioned to appeal to young, tech-savvy and environmentally conscious buyers.
Features and key highlights
The SUV comes equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, six airbags, a high-definition 360-degree camera, electronic stability programme and ARENA Safety Shield as standard. Digital features include a 25.65 cm SmartPlay Pro X touchscreen infotainment system with an in-built app store, Alexa Auto voice AI, over-the-air updates, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 26.03 cm fully digital instrument cluster and a premium eight-speaker Harman Infinity audio system with Dolby Atmos create what the company calls a “theatre on wheels” experience.
Other features include a smart powered tailgate with gesture control, ventilated front seats, an eight-way powered driver’s seat, wireless charging with active cooling, and 64-colour ambient lighting. A panoramic sunroof, aerodynamic alloy wheels, and a wraparound design complete the SUV’s exterior styling.
“Today’s young customers are ambitious, hyper-connected and value experiential living. The Victoris is our answer to that shift – a progressive blend of tech, design and versatility,” said Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing and Sales, MSIL.
The Victoris is aimed at rivals such as Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun. The model offers more cabin space than the Brezza while being priced more competitively than the Grand Vitara, Maruti said.
