Mahindra & Mahindra on Monday launched the XUV 7XO, a new SUV positioned above the XUV700, with introductory prices starting at ₹13.66 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings will open on January 14, with deliveries beginning the same day for select variants.

Prices for the XUV 7XO range up to ₹24.11 lakh (ex-showroom), with introductory pricing applicable for the first 40,000 customer deliveries. Lower variants will see deliveries begin from April 2026.

The XUV 7XO debuts several first-in-segment technologies, including the world’s first DAVINCI suspension system, India’s first internal combustion engine (ICE) software-defined vehicle, a coast-to-coast triple-screen layout across all variants, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos integration, and Level 2 ADAS with dynamic visualisation.

The model will be manufactured at Mahindra’s Chakan facility in Maharashtra, which has an installed annual capacity of 1.2 lakh units. The company has invested ₹415 crore in the project, funded through internal accruals.

Features

The SUV is offered with 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine options, paired with manual and automatic transmissions. An all-wheel-drive option is available on select diesel variants. Mahindra claims a 0–60 kmph acceleration time of under five seconds for the petrol manual variant.

In terms of features, the XUV 7XO offers a 31.24 cm triple HD screen setup, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, 540-degree surround-view camera, ventilated front and rear seats, powered seats with memory function, multi-zone ambient lighting and a panoramic sunroof.

Safety equipment includes over 120 features, with six airbags standard across variants, Level 2 ADAS with 17 functions, driver drowsiness alert, electronic parking brake with auto-hold and tyre pressure monitoring. The SUV has been engineered to meet a five-star Bharat NCAP rating, the company said.

Mahindra said the XUV 7XO is aimed at strengthening its position in the premium SUV segment, building on the success of the XUV700, which has sold over 3 lakh units since its launch in 2021.
