Mahindra SUV sales jump 25% to 60,272 units in March

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) on Wednesday reported overall auto sales of 99,969 vehicles in March 2026, up 21 per cent year on year.

In the utility vehicle (UV) segment, the company sold 60,272 units in the domestic market, up 25 per cent from the year-ago period, when it sold 48,048 units. Overall UV sales, including exports, stood at 62,109 units.

The automaker’s exports stood at 3968 units in March 2026, as against 4143 units in the same period last year.

“The financial year ended on a very positive note, with Mahindra clocking its highest-ever volumes in both SUVs and LCV (<3.5T) segments, a significant milestone for the company,” said Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.

Domestic sales in the commercial vehicle segment stood at 24,928 units, recording a growth of 11 per cent.

For FY26, Mahindra said it closed the year with its highest-ever volumes in both SUV and light commercial vehicle categories.

The company reported all-time-high sales of 6,60,276 SUVs and 2,89,597 LCVs (below 3.5 tonnes), registering year-on-year growth of 20 per cent and 13 per cent, respectively.
