BE 6 Formula E EditionMahindra & Mahindra has introduced the BE 6 Formula E Edition, a motorsport-inspired version of its BE 6 electric SUV, priced at ₹24.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings will open on January 14, 2026, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin on February 14, 2026.
The special edition brings Formula E–influenced styling and cabin enhancements to the BE 6, reflecting Mahindra’s long-standing presence in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. The company is positioning the variant for India’s rapidly expanding motorsport audience, particularly younger consumers who are increasingly engaging with global racing content and culture.
New updates and features
Design updates include a new signature front bumper with circular projector headlamps, racetrack-inspired R20 alloy wheels, Firestorm Orange brake callipers, sporty spoilers and extensive Formula E badging. Four exterior colours — Everest White, Firestorm Orange, Tango Red and Stealth Black — are available, along with signature race-themed graphics on the roof and bonnet.
The interior carries a strong Firestorm Orange theme, supported by Formula E branding on panels, seats and seat belts, a race-car style start/stop button flap, custom startup animation, motorsport-inspired sound signatures and translucent door inserts to create a cockpit-like feel.
Performance figures remain unchanged from the standard BE 6. Mahindra claims acceleration from 0–100 km/h in 6.7 seconds and a top speed of 202 km/h. The electric motor continues to produce 282 bhp (210 kW), paired with a 79 kWh battery that delivers a real-world range of about 500 km.
The company said the torque mapping has been calibrated to offer a more race-inspired driving response.
Mahindra also announced Bengaluru-born FIA Formula 2 race winner Kush Maini as the brand ambassador for its Electric Origin SUVs. The company said Maini represents the edition’s ethos of Indian pride, youthful energy and global motorsport ambition.
Initial customer benefits
Early customers will receive a suite of exclusive benefits. The first 999 buyers will get a track-day experience with Kush Maini at Mahindra’s proving track, a collector’s box filled with Mahindra Racing memorabilia, a personalised delivery photo and video, and the option to choose a two-digit number between 0 and 99 as a decal on their SUV. Their first names will also appear on a Mahindra Racing car competing at the London E-Prix in 2026. In addition, three customers will be selected to attend the London E-Prix in August 2026, with paddock access and an opportunity to meet the Mahindra Racing team. Winners will be responsible for securing their UK visas.
As part of its youth-focused approach, Mahindra also unveiled the BE 6 Formula E Edition Ride-On, an electric toy car for children that mirrors the full-size SUV’s styling. It will be available from April 2026 at ₹18,000.
