Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. on Saturday announced price cuts of up to ₹1.56 lakh across its internal combustion engine (ICE) SUV portfolio, passing on the full benefits of GST 2.0 to customers. The new prices take effect from Saturday, following the GST Council’s decision earlier this week to rationalise tax rates on automobiles.

The company said revised prices will be transparently updated across its dealerships and digital platforms.

Among the key models, the Bolero Neo sees a benefit of up to ₹1.27 lakh, while the petrol variant of the XUV3XO is cheaper by ₹1.40 lakh and the diesel version by ₹1.56 lakh. The Thar 2WD (diesel) is now lower by ₹1.35 lakh, while the Thar 4WD (diesel) gets a cut of ₹1.01 lakh.

The Scorpio Classic and Scorpio-N are both cheaper by ₹1.01 lakh and ₹1.45 lakh respectively, while the recently launched Thar Roxx is down by ₹1.33 lakh. The popular XUV700 also benefits from a reduction of ₹1.43 lakh.

The announcement comes as other automakers, including Mercedes-Benz and BMW, have also slashed prices on select models following GST 2.0. Analysts expect the move to boost festive season demand and lift sentiment across the automobile industry.
