Lexus India on Wednesday said it has introduced a Smart Ownership Plan to provide customers with greater flexibility in owning its vehicles.

The initiative, launched under the ‘Lexus Promise’ programme, is aimed at those entering the luxury car segment and seeking shorter financial commitments.

The plan includes an assured buyback option. At the end of the term, customers can return the vehicle with no further obligations, retain it by paying a pre-agreed Guaranteed Future Value (GFV), or upgrade to a new Lexus model. The GFV, communicated upfront, secures a vehicle’s resale value and removes uncertainty around depreciation.

The plan is available for the Lexus ES, NX, and RX models. The programme allows upgrades every three to five years, enabling customers to access newer models with updated features in technology, design, and safety.

Extended warranty and service packages

Since June 2024, Lexus India has been offering an eight-year or 160,000 km warranty on all new models sold in India. The company also provides Lexus Luxury Care service packages, available in three, five, or eight-year tenures with varying mileage limits, offering different levels of coverage.

Lexus India entered the domestic market in 2017.
