The Hector has been a key model for the brand with 1,50,000 customers since launch, said Anurag Mehrotra, Managing Director, JSW MG Motor India.

JSW MG Motor India on Monday launched the new MG Hector, priced from ₹11.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The company said the updated model introduces changes to design, technology and convenience features.

The Hector now features a revised grille, new front and rear bumpers and new alloy wheels. Two new colours — Celadon Blue and Pearl White — have been added. The interiors offer two new themes: Dual Tone Ice Grey for the five-seater variant and Dual Tone Urban Tan for the six- and seven-seater versions.

Technology and convenience updates

The SUV features a 14-inch portrait touchscreen with improved processing under the company’s Smart Boost technology. It also introduces i-SWIPE touch-gesture control, enabling multi-touch input for functions such as air-conditioning, music, and navigation. The model includes a Digital Bluetooth Key, key-sharing capability, and predictive maintenance alerts.

The safety package includes ABS, EBD, ESP, traction control, hill-hold control and brake assist as standard. A 360-degree camera with a wheel view has been added. The Hector continues with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, available with a CVT or manual transmission, producing 143 PS and 250 Nm of torque. The diesel variant is planned for 2026. The Hector has been a key model for the brand with 1,50,000 customers since launch, said Anurag Mehrotra, Managing Director, JSW MG Motor India.

He said the updated version aims to advance design, comfort and technology.

The company said customers can avail themselves of up to 100 per cent funding on the on-road price and accessories. The model is also offered with the MG Shield programme, which includes a three-year warranty with unlimited kilometres, three years of roadside assistance and three labour-free periodic services under the standard 3+3+3 package.
