All MG models — including the Astor, Gloster, Windsor, Comet and ZS EV — are equipped with air filters now.JSW MG Motor India on Thursday said all its vehicles now feature PM 2.5 air filters or purifiers, designed to help improve in-cabin air quality. The initiative follows growing concerns about rising air pollution during the festive season due to firecrackers, stubble burning, and other factors.
According to the official press release, all MG models — including the Astor, Gloster, Windsor, Comet and ZS EV — are equipped with air filters.
Particulate matter smaller than 2.5 microns can enter the lungs when inhaled. MG’s PM 2.5 air filters are designed to trap between 95 and 99 per cent of fine particles such as dust, smoke, soot, pollen and bacteria.
The MG Hector includes a PM 2.5 air purifier with an inbuilt air quality index display, the firm said in its statement. The air purifier in the MG Hector uses an activated carbon filter to remove pollutants, allergens, and odours.
