JSW MG Motor India has commenced production of the MG Majestor, which it describes as India’s first D+ segment SUV, at its manufacturing facility in Halol, Gujarat.

The SUV has been developed for customers seeking premium features combined with strong off-road capability and commanding road presence. The MG Majestor is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine delivering 215.5 PS of power and 478.5 Nm of torque.

The company said the SUV features an advanced 4WD system with 10 off-road modes and segment-first triple differential locks across the front, rear and centre. It also comes equipped with crawl control mode and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

The MG Majestor offers 219 mm ground clearance and an 810 mm water wading capability. JSW MG Motor India claims the SUV has the longest, widest and tallest dimensions in the D-segment SUV category.

Biju Balendran, Deputy Managing Director, JSW MG Motor India, said, “The commencement of production of the MG Majestor marks a significant step for us as we move closer to introducing a new benchmark in the premium SUV space. With the Majestor, we are bringing together strong engineering, advanced capability and a commanding presence, aligned to the evolving expectations of customers.”

The company is offering the SUV under its ‘Complete Peace of Mind’ ownership programme, which includes a 5-year unlimited kilometre warranty, 5-year roadside assistance and five labour-free services.

Customers can pre-reserve the MG Majestor at ₹41,000 through the company’s official website. Early customers will receive priority deliveries, exclusive previews and curated experiential drives, the company said.
