Hyundai CretaHyundai Motor India (HMIL) on Wednesday reported domestic sales of 39,635 units in June 2026, a 9.96 per cent decline from 44,024 units in the year-ago period, after a fire at one of its suppliers’ manufacturing facilities temporarily disrupted production.
Including 11,700 units of exports, the company’s total sales stood at 51,335 units during the month.
The company said the fire at the supplier’s plant resulted in a production loss of approximately 13,900 units during June.
“In June 2026, HMIL achieved total monthly sales of 51,335 units (Domestic: 39,635 units and Exports: 11,700 units) despite facing a production loss of 13,900 units owing to a fire incident at one of the supplier’s manufacturing facilities, which led to a temporary disruption in production,” said Tarun Garg, Managing Director & CEO, Hyundai Motor India.
According to the company, production operations across its manufacturing facilities returned to normal on June 22, and it expects to recover the lost production volumes during the second quarter of FY27.
