Hyundai Motor India on Monday launched the new Hyundai VERNA in India, with a starting price of ₹10.98 lakh (ex-showroom), as the automaker aims to reignite the mid-size sedan segment.

The model introduces more than 25 updates across design, technology, safety and comfort. Exterior changes include a black chrome radiator grille, dual LED projector headlamps, redesigned front and rear bumpers, and new R16 (405.6 mm) diamond-cut alloy wheels.

The sedan also offers increased cabin space, with a length of 4,565 mm, a wheelbase of 2,670 mm, and a width of 1,765 mm, making it among the widest sedans in the segment and one of the longest-wheelbase models.

“The new Hyundai VERNA is more than a product upgrade. The new Hyundai VERNA represents the essence of what a true car should be – stable, safe, performance-driven and premium,” said Tarun Garg, Managing Director & CEO, Hyundai Motor India Limited. The model is also available in two new colour options: Classy Blue and Titan Grey Matte.

The car continues to be offered with two petrol engine options: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine paired with a manual or IVT gearbox, and a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine paired with a manual or seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
