Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) said on Friday that the third-generation Honda Amaze has secured a 5-star safety rating for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and a 4-star rating for Child Occupant Protection (COP) under the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (Bharat NCAP).

Launched in December 2024, the new Amaze scored 28.33 out of 32 points in AOP and 40.81 out of 49 points in COP, placing it among the safest compact sedans in the country.

Kunal Behl, Vice-President, Marketing & Sales at Honda Cars India, said the recognition reinforces the company’s commitment to safety. “This reflects our relentless focus on not only making the Amaze stylish and efficient, but also one of the safest compact sedans on Indian roads. Honda’s first-in-segment and most affordable ADAS on the Amaze further enhances collision prevention,” he said.

The new Amaze comes equipped with Honda Sensing, making it the most affordable ADAS-enabled car in India. The suite includes features such as Collision Mitigation Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Road Departure Mitigation and Lead Car Departure Alert. The model also integrates the LaneWatch Camera.

Built on Honda’s ACE body structure, the sedan features six airbags, ISOFIX mounts, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist and Vehicle Stability Assist. The company said the latest Amaze aligns with Honda’s global vision to eliminate traffic collision fatalities involving its vehicles by 2050
