Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday invited US-based electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla to establish a manufacturing facility in the state, assuring full government support to promote EV adoption and attract industrial investment.
According to a PTI report, Saini presented a copy of the Haryana Electric Vehicle Policy to Tesla representatives and highlighted the state’s growing leadership in the EV sector.
He said that setting up a Tesla plant in Haryana would not only strengthen the company’s presence in India but also help make its electric vehicles more affordable and accessible to Indian consumers.
“The state has become an ideal destination for investment and innovation, offering world-class facilities and a conducive environment for industries,” Saini said, adding that Haryana’s EV policy offers attractive incentives, strong infrastructure, and a business-friendly ecosystem for investors.
He emphasised that Tesla’s entry would further accelerate industrial and technological development in Haryana.
During the meeting, Isabelle Fan, Senior Director at Tesla, invited the chief minister to be the chief guest at the inauguration of India’s first integrated Tesla Center, scheduled for November 27 in Gurugram. The upcoming facility will feature an experience centre, delivery and service units, office space, and a supercharging station — all housed within a single campus.
