Ferrari on Thursday introduced the Handling Speciale configuration for the Purosangue, an optional package aimed at further intensifying the sporting character of the brand’s first four-door, four-seater model.

According to the official press release, the new configuration sharpens the Purosangue’s mechanical and electronic responses while retaining the everyday usability and versatility that define the model.

The Handling Speciale configuration includes a revised active suspension calibration designed to reduce body movements by 10 per cent, resulting in a more compact and controlled feel during rapid direction changes and successive cornering.

Ferrari also said it has updated the Purosangue’s shift strategies, offering quicker response times and more decisive gear changes, particularly in the Manettino ‘Race’ and ‘ESC Off’ modes. In manual mode, shifts are tuned to feel more sporting at medium-to-high engine speeds above 5,500 rpm, enhancing driver engagement.

The configuration also features an optimised in-cabin sound setting, which Ferrari said is more pronounced during start-up and acceleration, highlighting the naturally aspirated V12 character.

Despite the changes, Ferrari said the Purosangue’s core architecture remains unchanged, including its transaxle layout, front-mid mounted naturally aspirated V12 engine, rear-mounted gearbox and the latest generation vehicle dynamics systems.

The Handling Speciale configuration also introduces styling updates such as wheels with a dedicated design and diamond-cut finish, carbon-fibre side shields, matt black exhaust tips, a black rear Prancing Horse emblem, a satin-finished Ferrari script and a dedicated interior plaque.

Ferrari said the Purosangue in Handling Speciale configuration will continue to be offered with the brand’s seven-year Genuine Maintenance programme, which covers regular servicing for the first seven years, including scheduled maintenance at 20,000 km intervals or once a year.
