Dacia on Thursday introduced the second-generation Spring electric vehicle (EV), marking a new chapter for its affordable mobility strategy while retaining the core attributes that helped make the model one of Europe’s most accessible electric cars, according to the company.

The Renault Group-owned brand said the new Spring will continue to offer a fully electric powertrain, four-seat configuration and practical boot space, staying true to Dacia’s value-oriented approach.

Launched in 2021, the Spring has sold nearly 210,000 units across Europe, making it one of the key pillars of Dacia’s electrification journey. The company said the model has demonstrated strong customer acceptance for simple and affordable electric mobility solutions.

Dacia noted that the name “Spring” has been retained for the new generation, reflecting themes of renewal and positive energy while ensuring continuity for a model that has become a benchmark within the brand’s portfolio.

The automaker said the vehicle will continue to be manufactured in Europe and remains central to its ambition of making electric mobility more accessible to a broader customer base.

“With New Spring, Dacia continues to pursue a clear ambition: paving the way for electric vehicles accessible to all,” the company said in a statement.
