BYD reported cumulative sales of 4.182 million vehicles between January and November 2025, an increase of 11.3 per cent year-on-year.BYD on Friday said it has rolled out its 15 millionth new energy vehicle (NEV) from its Jinan manufacturing facility, marking a production milestone for the company. The vehicle was a Denza N8L, produced under its premium brand Denza.
According to the official press release, the unit also marked the 15,000th Denza N8L manufactured. The model is positioned as a six-seat sport utility vehicle and is part of BYD’s expanding NEV portfolio.
BYD reported cumulative sales of 4.182 million vehicles between January and November 2025, an increase of 11.3 per cent year-on-year. Overseas markets contributed significantly, with sales reaching 917,000 units during the period, exceeding the company’s total overseas volumes for 2024.
The company said that its NEV products are now sold in over 119 countries and regions across six continents.
BYD’s research and development spending totalled 43.75 billion yuan in the first three quarters of 2025, up 31 per cent year-on-year. Cumulative R&D investment has crossed 220 billion yuan.
Denza has expanded its presence across Asian markets including Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia. The Denza D9 emerged as the best-selling luxury MPV in markets such as Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia during the first half of the year, according to the company.
The brand has also entered parts of Europe and Latin America as BYD continues to expand its international footprint.
