The travel crisis linked to IndiGo Airlines continues to cause severe hardship for passengers, with several flights cancelled once again today across the country. At Mumbai Airport, a deeply distressing situation emerged when a passenger travelling with his wife, a cancer patient, was informed about the sudden cancellation of their flight only after arriving at the airport. The passenger, Diman Bhumi, said he was travelling from Mumbai to Tripura via a connecting flight through Kolkata. His flight, scheduled to depart at 10:35 AM, was cancelled without any prior notification through SMS, email, or WhatsApp. He claimed that the ticket was booked through an agent, and the registered contact details were not his personal ones, which left him completely unaware of the cancellation. According to him, airport staff gave unclear responses and redirected him multiple times without offering any concrete assistance. The family, which travels frequently to Mumbai for medical treatment, now faces uncertainty, especially given the patient’s critical condition. The incident has once again exposed alleged mismanagement and lack of communication by the airline, as passengers continue to suffer due to repeated flight cancellations and inadequate support systems.
