The vice-captain of the Indian women’s national team took to social media to address weeks of intense speculation about her private life, stating she felt it was important to speak out.The news broke via an official and public statement shared by Mandhana, where she requested privacy for both families as they move forward. Mandhana emphasized that her primary focus remains on her professional career, specifically representing India and continuing to win trophies at the highest level.

In her official communication via Instagram Stories, Mandhana confirmed the decision and requested respect for their privacy:”Over the past few weeks there has been plenty of speculation around my life and I feel it is important for me to speak out at this time. I am a very private person and I would like to keep it that way but I need to clarify that the wedding is called off.” She further implored fans and media to respect the privacy of the families involved:

Mandhana made it clear that her immediate and future professional goals are unchanged. The highly successful batter, who captains the WPL champion team Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), affirmed her dedication to the sport:”I believe there is a higher purpose driving us all and for me that has always been representing my country at the highest level. I hope to continue to play and win trophies for India for as long as possible and that is where my focus will forever be.”
