Boney on not retaining Salman, Fardeen, Anil in ‘No Entry 2’

Boney Kapoor admits he will always regret not retaining Salman Khan, Fardeen Khan and Anil Kapoor in 'No Entry 2': 'We waited for almost 8-10 years but...'

No Entry is making a comeback after nearly two decades. The sequel will have a completely new cast. Producer Boney Kapoor shares why Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan are not in No Entry 2. He regrets not bringing back the original trio. Tamannaah has joined the project. She will play a role similar to Bipasha Basu’s character.

The beloved comedy No Entry is returning after nearly two decades, but its sequel comes with a major change — a completely new cast. While fans eagerly await the next chapter, producer Boney Kapoor has opened up about why the original stars weren’t part of No Entry 2 and the regret he feels over not being able to bring back Salman Khan, Fardeen Khan, and Anil Kapoor.

Entire star cast changed for the sequel

Speaking with Instant Bollywood, Boney Kapoor explained that the entire star cast of No Entry 2 was changed, which he considers a loss since they couldn’t bring back the original actors. He said they waited 8–10 years, but things didn’t work out. While the sequel will feature a fresh, younger cast, he admitted they will miss Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan, who were the beloved original trio.

Reflecting on missed opportunities

The veteran producer also reflected on the passage of time, saying that while waiting for the original cast, the opportunity slipped away. With a new setup for No Entry 2, things will inevitably be different, and he admits there’s a lingering regret that the original trio isn’t part of the film. He praised Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan as not just talented actors but wonderful people, and said he will miss them. Still, he hopes the new cast will prove to be the right choice.

Tamannaah joins the sequel

Earlier, Peeping Moon reported that Tamannaah has officially signed on for the project and is reportedly excited to try her hand at the comedy genre. Her role is said to be similar in essence to Bipasha Basu’s character from the original film.
