Imran Khan is back in Bollywood after 10 years, netizens praise Vir Das’ ‘Happy Patel’, call it a ‘Delhi Belly’ reunion

After more than a decade away from Bollywood, actor Imran Khan is finally back on the big screen. His return has been confirmed with Vir Das’ directorial debut, Happy Patel, where Imran makes a cameo appearance. Fans have been eagerly waiting to see him again after his last film, ‘Katti Batti’, released in 2015.The announcement video for ‘Happy Patel’ included a short teaser showing glimpses of the film. In a blink-and-you-miss-it moment, Imran can be seen sporting long hair and looking directly into the camera. Fans were quick to catch the glimpse, share screenshots on social media, with excitement and nostalgia flooding online platforms.

Vir Das introduces his first directorial film

‘Happy Patel’ is described as a quirky spy film and marks Vir Das’ first time as a director. The teaser shows some of Vir’s looks in the film and ends with a wide shot of Imran Khan, teasing his brief but impactful appearance. Fans were thrilled to spot him and immediately shared their reactions online.

Another added, “Imran Khan is back after 10 years.” This project is special because it reunites Imran Khan with Vir Das, who last worked together in the 2011 hit ‘Delhi Belly’. Fans couldn’t hide their excitement: “’Delhi Belly’ ka promo yaad aagya dekh kr nostalgia hit hard,” wrote one social media user. Another said, “Loving the ‘Delhi Belly’ reunion.”Even Vir Das joined in the fun. When a fan praised the reunion, he jokingly tweeted, “Wait…Imran is in this movie??”

Imran Khan began his film career with the hit ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ in 2007. He later appeared in popular films such as ‘I Hate Luv Storys’, ‘Break Ke Baad’, ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’, and ‘Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Dobaara’.
