When Paresh Rawal said working with Aamir Khan is better

When Paresh Rawal said working with Aamir Khan is better: 'He doesn't believe in any gestures or mannerisms'

Paresh Rawal has spent over four decades in cinema and has appeared in more than 200 films. From ‘Hera Pheri,’ ‘Hungama,’ and ‘Paa’ to ‘Golmaal: Fun Unlimited,’ iconic comedies, he has done it all. He is among the few actors who have worked closely with all three Khans of Bollywood: Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Salman Khan. In a recent interaction, Rawal shared candid thoughts about their distinct acting styles. He even admitted that among them, he personally likes Aamir Khan better.

What he said about Aamir Khan and Salman Khan

Rawal appreciates Aamir’s craft for its purity. He noted that Aamir approaches scenes without relying on signature gestures or predictable traits. Rawal said in the interview with The Lallantop, “Personally, I like Aamir better, if I talk about work. He doesn’t believe in any gestures or mannerisms.

On the other hand, he described Salman as someone who carries natural charm. He said, “Personally, I like Aamir better, if I talk about work. He doesn’t believe in any gestures or mannerisms.

What he shared about Shah Rukh Khan

The veteran actor also praised Shah Rukh’s commitment. He highlighted how SRK’s performance in ‘Swades’ stunned even his co-stars; he said, “No one can say that this is Shah Rukh Khan. Sum total, in acting, there is no one who is bigger, superior, inferior, terrible, or great. Everyone is different and good in their own place.” He summed it up by saying that comparisons don’t matter because each actor shines differently in their own space.

His thoughts after seeing an old photo with Akshay Kumar

When shown an old picture with Akshay Kumar, Rawal clarified their dynamic with honesty. He said Akshay is a trusted collaborator but not someone he shares deep personal friendship with. He added in the same interview, “I would categorize him as a coworker, not a close confidant, In the film world, you find collaborators. In theater, you build friendships. But in school, you find soul-level buddies.”Rawal then mentioned the people he genuinely considers close: “I’ve been fortunate to share a real bond with legends like the late Om Puri, the incredible Naseeruddin Shah, and the ever-joyful Johny Lever.” He said these bonds formed beyond work, rooted in mutual respect and warmth.
