Disneyland Paris to open Disney Adventure World in March 2026

A new chapter in European tourism begins on March 29, 2026, when Disney Adventure World officially opens at Disneyland Paris, introducing World of Frozen and an array of groundbreaking experiences that push the limits of immersive storytelling. This milestone represents one of the largest expansions in the resort’s history, nearly doubling the size of the second park and reinforcing Disneyland Paris’s position as Europe’s number one tourist destination.

The transformation replaces the former Walt Disney Studios Park with a fully reimagined space anchored by Adventure Way, a grand new promenade that connects immersive lands inspired by Disney Animation, Pixar, and Marvel stories. The expansion features a new Tangled-themed attraction, Adventure Bay -an expansive lake with a nightly spectacular -and an impressive line-up of dining, entertainment, and character experiences.

At its heart lies the World of Frozen, a life-sized recreation of Arendelle. Guests will step into the Kingdom of Anna and Elsa, experiencing the Snowflower Festival through a mix of attractions, live entertainment, themed dining, and encounters with beloved characters. The Frozen Ever After boat ride will use state-of-the-art Audio-Animatronics and immersive projection technology to bring iconic moments like “Let It Go” to life. Visitors can also enjoy the A Celebration in Arendelle daytime show on the bay, meet Olaf via next-generation robotics, and dine at the Nordic Crowns Tavern while exploring shops filled with Scandinavian-inspired crafts. The architectural design of World of Frozen features meticulous attention to detail, from the 36-metre North Mountain crowned by Elsa’s Ice Palace to the handcrafted rosemaling patterns adorning Arendelle’s facades. Landscaping inspired by Nordic flora further enhances the authenticity and emotional resonance of the experience.

Beyond Frozen, Disney Adventure World will encompass Worlds of Pixar, with family favourites like Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquee de Remy and Crush’s Coaster, and Marvel Avengers Campus, where guests can join Spider-Man and the Avengers in action-packed attractions. These lands will surround Adventure Bay, a 7.5-acre lake serving as the park’s focal point for day and nighttime spectacles.

The crown jewel of the expansion is the Disney Cascade of Lights, an all-new nighttime show that merges storytelling, technology, and music into an immersive visual symphony. Set over Adventure Bay, the production will feature an unprecedented combination of aerial and aquatic drones, pyrotechnics, fountains, and a 90-piece orchestral score -including new compositions such as “We Can Be Heroes” and a reimagined version of “How Far I’ll Go.”

Guests will also experience Adventure Way, the new main avenue linking the lands. Themed gardens and musical encounters will enrich the promenade, featuring the Raiponce Tangled Spin attraction, where visitors glide beneath a sky of floating lanterns. The avenue will also host The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge, offering table service and character dining with Disney Princesses in an elegant setting overlooking Adventure Bay.

Disney Adventure World’s culinary landscape will include 14 new food and beverage venues, from Cafe Luminosity with its signature hot dogs to the Terrasse Panoramique offering artisanal pastries and hot drinks. The Regal View Lounge, the first-ever bar inside Disneyland Paris parks, will serve Disney Princess–inspired cocktails and provide panoramic lake views.

In keeping with Disney’s commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, the new park will offer audio description services, assistive devices, and mobility-friendly attractions. Visitors can personalise their experience with Disney Premier Access for faster entry, reserved viewing for shows, and priority seating for the new nighttime spectacular.

Looking ahead, Disney Adventure World will continue to evolve. A new Up-inspired family attraction and an immersive Lion King world are already in development, promising to extend the resort’s legacy of storytelling and innovation.

Reflecting on this transformation, Natacha Rafalski, Presidente of Disneyland Paris, stated, “March 29, 2026, will mark a historic milestone for Disneyland Paris with the transformation of our second park into Disney Adventure World and the opening of its spectacular expansion featuring World of Frozen. This step represents our most ambitious transformation to date, bringing deeper storytelling, stronger emotions, and unforgettable experiences that only Disney can deliver.”

With its EUR2 billion investment, Disneyland Paris is ushering in a bold new era where creativity and technology converge, offering guests across Europe extraordinary adventures in worlds both familiar and new.
