According to OTTplay, Netflix has officially acquired the film’s post-theatrical digital rights. The espionage thriller is expected to stream exclusively on Netflix from January 30, 2026. Director clarifies character not inspired by real-life hero
Following the film’s announcement, fans speculated that Ranveer Singh’s role might be based on Major Mohit Sharma, who went undercover as Iftikhar Bhatt and infiltrated Hizbul Mujahideen in the early 2000s.Director Aditya Dhar addressed the rumours on social media, replying to Major Mohit’s brother, “Hi, sir, our film Dhurandhar is not based on the life of braveheart Major Mohit Sharma AC(P) SM.
