Laalo-Krishna Sada Sahaayate becomes 35th Biggest Hit of 2025

‘Laalo-Krishna Sada Sahaayate’ beats Harshvardhan Rane’s ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ to become 35th Biggest Hit of 2025

Celebrated as a cultural milestone, the Gujarati film Laalo has impressively sustained a 50-day theatrical run, eclipsing Hindi romantic drama Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat to become the 35th highest-grossing film of the year 2025. Built on a modest budget of Rs 50 lakh, Laalo’s earnings skyrocketed to Rs 80 crore, boasting an astonishing 16,000% return on investment.

Gujarati cinema has achieved yet another landmark moment as Ankit Sakhiya’s Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayate continues its unstoppable theatrical run, now completing 50 triumphant days in cinemas. What began as a modest regional release has transformed into a national phenomenon, beating Harshvardhan Rane, Sonam Bajwa and Milap Zaveri’s romantic drama Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat to become the 35th biggest hit of 2025.Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat had earlier held the position with an impressive lifetime total of Rs 78.93 crore. But the momentum of Laalo has been extraordinary. With its 50-day total now reaching a phenomenal Rs 80 crore, the Gujarati blockbuster has officially surpassed the Hindi release, pushing it down a spot in the yearly rankings and marking a proud milestone for regional cinema. For a film made on an ultra-modest budget of just Rs 50 lakh, Laalo’s success is unprecedented, yielding profits around 16,000%.A week-wise breakdown shows just how miraculous the film’s trajectory has been. After opening with Rs 33 lakh in Week 1 and Rs 27 lakh in Week 2, the film witnessed its first major surge in Week 3 with Rs 62 lakh. From there, it entered box-office history books: Rs 12.08 crore in Week 4, Rs 25.70 crore in Week 5, and Rs 24.40 crore in Week 6. It then delivered the biggest 7th-weekend collection ever recorded in Indian cinema—Rs 9.95 crore. Adding to that, the first six days of Week 7 contributed another Rs 14.55 crore, solidifying its position among the year’s biggest hits.By surpassing Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, Laalo has proven that content-driven regional cinema can compete with mainstream national releases on equal footing. The Harshvardhan Rane starrer, with its Rs 78.93 crore total, was considered a solid performer given its controversial theme and clash with Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s Thamma. Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat also got a lot of boost thanks to the success of Sanam Tere Kasam’s re-release which was the highest grossing re-released film in India till Prabhas and SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali-The Epic came along. As Laalo- Krishna Sada Sahaayate marches confidently toward the Rs 85-crore milestone, it is no longer just a Gujarati sensation, it is a national triumph that has rewritten the boundaries of regional cinema.
