“You’re getting permanently banned!”: Asmongold draws a hard line on Twitch’s new mega-gift feature

“You’re getting permanently banned!”: Asmongold draws a hard line on Twitch’s new mega-gift feature

Popular Twitch streamer Asmongold is raising red flags about the platform’s newest feature, which is a $4,990 option that lets a viewer gift 1,000 subs at once, which is getting a lot of criticism online. He made his stance about it abundantly clear during his November 27, 2025, livestream, criticising not just the insanely high price but also the negative connotations that come with such donations. He has always been vocal about the importance of spending and donating money wisely, urging his fans to keep their wallet in check. Thus, when another streamer, Emiru, benefited from this new Twitch feature, Asmongold showed his utmost displeasure and frustration. Reacting to a clip of Emiru receiving 1,000 subs, his complete lack of respect for her was visible as he did not mince words regarding the situation.

Asmongold’s sharp warning sparks debate over Twitch’s aggressive new gifting system and its impact on streamers

As Asmongold saw the aforementioned Emiru video, he exclaimed, “I saw this. ‘Emiru gets 1,000 subs.’ I hate women. I f**king hate this s**t. It’s going to get refunded. Yeah..” This was when, during the stream, he made a staunch declaration. The MMO streamer told his fans, “If you do that to me, you’re getting permanently banned. I’m going to say it right now – anybody gifting me a thousand subs, you’re getting permanently f**king banned!” Additionally, he made it known that the only way he would consider a ban appeal would be if the gifter submitted their tax form to check if they earn seven figures; if not, they would be banned. Asmongold said, “Unless I know that you are a Saudi Arabian prince… the only way that your ban appeal can come in is if you send me your 1040… And if it’s not seven figures, you’re staying banned!” When asked what he would do if Twitch itself gifted him 1,000 subs, he instantly concluded that he would jump ship and move to Rumble instead, saying, “What if Twitch gifts you a thousand subs? We’re going to Rumble. We’re already on Kick.” Asmongold is indeed serious about the whole issue and is not joking around regarding his opinions about the controversial feature. The OTK co-founder recently also had blunt words for Pokimane’s viral self-proposal video, calling it “sad” and saying “some guy needs to marry her or something.” Asmongold seems to have had it with the nature of some streamers and the constantly evolving nature of the platforms, but is not afraid to call out elements that he feels are wrong and calculated.
