Real-life ‘Vivah’ moment of a Kochi couple: Here’s what happened
This story revolves around Avani of Kommadi, Alappuzha, and V M Sharon of Thumboli and their respective families. According to the Economic Times, the hospital shared that Avni and Sharon were supposed to get married on November 21, 2025. Unfortunately, on the same day, while travelling for her bridal makeup, Avani met with a car accident and suffered a spinal injury. She was rushed to Lakeshore Hospital for treatment. Both the groom and bride’s families didn’t want to postpone the wedding, and carry out the rituals according to the ‘muhurtam’ (auspicious time) set between 12:15 pm and 12:30 pm. Thus, after consulting with the doctors, the emergency room was turned into a wedding venue, officials told PTI.

Reportedly, the hospital arranged for the groom to tie the ‘thaali’ (sacred yellow thread) in the Emergency Department. This was to make sure that Avani doesn’t face any discomfort, a hospital spokesperson said. It was a low-key ceremony held on Muhuratam, amid the attendance of the doctors, nurses, and close relatives.
