Tere Ishk Mein witnesses over 50 % jump in 24 hours

Dhanush and Kriti Sanon’s ‘Tere Ishk Mein’ witnesses over 50 % jump in Day 1 advance booking ; nears Rs 2.75 crore mark

Dhanush and Kriti Sanon’s ‘Tere Ishk Mein’ is building significant buzz ahead of its November 28 release. Advance bookings have surged dramatically, crossing Rs 1.12 crore by Wednesday morning. This strong performance, driven by the Hindi version and a significant increase in shows, signals high audience interest and exhibitor confidence, with expectations for a robust opening.

Aanand L Rai’s much-anticipated romantic drama Tere Ishk Mein, starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, is gaining steady traction as it approaches its theatrical release on 28th November. The film, which marks Dhanush’s return to Rai’s universe of emotionally intense storytelling after Raanjhanaa and Atrangi Re, has shown a clear jump in advance booking numbers within just 24 hours indicating rising audience curiosity and solidifying its position as a potential strong opener. On Tuesday, Tere Ishk Mein registered Rs 48.42 lakh in gross advance booking across India, with total blocked seats pushing the entire figure to Rs 1.77 crore. The Hindi version was the primary driver, contributing Rs 48.30 lakh from 17,650 tickets across 3,889 shows, while the Tamil version added Rs 11,448 from 212 tickets across 10 shows. The combined tally stood at 17,862 tickets sold, already hinting at early momentum.

But by Wednesday morning Tere Ishk Mein has posted an impressive Rs 1.12 crore in gross advance booking for Day 1 across India, marking a significant surge of more than 130% within a single day, while block booking went up from 1.28 crore to 1.49 crore , a jump of mere Rs 21 lakh. The Hindi version once again dominates, bringing in Rs 1.11 crore with 45,329 tickets sold across 4,963 shows, an expansion of more than 1,000 shows within a day, signalling high exhibitor confidence. The Tamil version, though limited, has also shown growth, collecting Rs 41,957 from 389 tickets across 46 shows. The total number of tickets sold across all formats now stands at 45,718, more than double from yesterday’s sales figure. This is a clear indicator that the film is expected to enjoy high occupancy in premium centres and multiplex chains once shows go live.A major reason for this upward trend is Aanand L Rai’s credibility in the romantic drama space, his return with Dhanush and A R Rahman and the addition of Kriti Sanon to the mix has helped the film to gain momentum. The music has also hit the right notes. The film is expected to take an opening around Rs 9 to Rs 10 crore.
