Twitch star Imane “Pokimane” has gone viral after revealing that she bought herself a wedding ring and even proposed to herself. In a video posted on her X account, she proudly displayed a Bulgari engagement ring that she purchased on her own. In the clip, she explained that many fans had encouraged her to treat herself after they repeatedly suggested she “go get one” in the comments of her earlier posts. The Twitch streamer discussed that she was instantly drawn towards the ring, but later realised that it was way too much. However, the more she thought about it, the more the idea made sense to her. The Moroccan-Canadian creator said she wanted to celebrate self-love and remind fans that the most important relationship one has is with oneself. The video quickly spread across social media, with some fans lauding her confidence and others reacting with surprise. The announcement comes at a time when Pokimane has been repeatedly talking more about her views on relationships and personal boundaries.

In the video posted to X, Pokimane shared the reasoning behind the purchase. She said, “I bought an engagement ring for myself. Okay, but you guys told me to. In the comments of my last video, you guys kept talking about a ring. So that’s what I did. A ring at Bulgari that I just fell in love with. It felt like way too much to get for myself. But then the more I thought about it, I was like, “I hope someday I actually get engaged.”She then added why she decided to “propose” to herself, “The person that you are engaged to the most in your entire lifetime is your damn self. So why shouldn’t I get this ring on my damn self? So this is me proposing to myself.”In another video, the Twitch star discussed why she has still maintained bachelor status. She discussed dating challenges as a public figure and said that meeting strangers is risky for her since many men just pretend not to know her. She revealed that she doesn’t want to settle for someone insecure about her work and wants to control her.
