Breaking: Political Heat Rises as Yogi Orders Crackdown on Alleged Infiltrators Across UP

Following the completion of the Bihar elections, political activity is intensifying in states heading toward upcoming polls. As winter sets in, the political temperature is rising, with the focus shifting to voter list revisions currently underway in 12 states. During the Bihar campaign, the Bharatiya Janata Party strongly highlighted the issue of alleged infiltrators, and now this debate has moved to Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed all district administrations to identify suspected infiltrators and take strict action against them. He has also proposed the establishment of temporary detention centres to hold such individuals before sending them back to their country of origin. The chief minister has directed officials to work firmly and without delay on this directive. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has questioned the move, accusing the government of unnecessarily troubling people. He argues that if anyone has entered the country illegally, the responsibility lies with the agencies guarding the borders. The Opposition repeatedly raises the point that preventing illegal entry is primarily the duty of the Border Security Force (BSF), which operates under the Union Home Ministry. This has sparked a fresh political confrontation ahead of the next round of state elections.
