‘Kitna kha rahi hai’: Neetu Kapoor warns Kareena Kapoor about eating “too much” during pregnancy

‘Dining With The Kapoors’ featured an intimate family lunch honoring Raj Kapoor’s 100th birth anniversary. Kareena Kapoor humorously recalled being “fired” by Neetu Kapoor for eating a lot during pregnancy. Ranbir reminisced about family meals. Alia Bhatt was absent due to shooting commitments, explained by the creator and director.

‘Dining With The Kapoors’ shows an intimate gathering of the iconic Kapoor family, led by Ranbir and Kareena Kapoor. Joined by family members like Neetu Singh, Saif Ali Khan, and Karisma Kapoor, the lunch hosted by Armaan Jain honors filmmaker Raj Kapoor’s 100th birth anniversary. During the event, Kareena shared a funny memory of being “fired” by Neetu for eating a lot during pregnancy.

Kareena Kapoor’s response to Neetu Kapoor’s teasing

At one point, Neetu jokingly told Kareena, “You eat a lot.” Kareena responded, “You saw me when I was pregnant, and you were just firing me by saying, ‘Don’t eat too much.’ And I said, ‘I’m pregnant,’ and she was like, ‘So what?’” Around the lunch table, Ranbir fondly recalled his grandmother’s baked mac and cheese, a favorite at family dinners. Kareena shared how Neetu teasingly asked, “Kitna kha rahi hai?” whenever she indulged in the dish, to which Kareena replied firmly, “I’m pregnant; I’m allowed to eat.” But she was like, ‘Don’t eat all this.’”

Kareena Kapoor’s pregnancy cravings on Instagram

Earlier, Kareena shared on Instagram that during her pregnancy, she just couldn’t resist pizza and often woke up at midnight craving desserts. She also admitted to ‘terribly’ craving a glass of wine. However, she mentioned how pregnancy changed her body, sometimes making her feel like “throwing up” even after eating her favorite foods.

Alia Bhatt’s absence explained

The Netflix special includes the entire Kapoor family, except Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor’s wife, who was absent due to prior shooting commitments. Armaan Jain, the creator, explained, “I might sound filmy, but like Raj Kapoor said, ‘work is worship.’” Director Smriti Mundhra also emphasized the family’s strong dedication to their craft, which sometimes causes scheduling conflicts.
