Delhi University's Kamala Nehru College hosts its annual College Day

Kamala Nehru College, University of Delhi affiliate, held its annual College Day on November 21, at the College Auditorium in the presence of students, faculty, retired staff, parents and administrative staff. Harsh Malhotra, Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways and Corporate Affairs, attended the event as Chief Guest.The programme opened with Saraswati Vandana by Sangeetika, the Indian Music Society, followed by the lighting of the lamp and the Delhi University Anthem. Guests of Honour were also welcomed and felicitated.Principal Pavitra Bhardwaj presented the Annual Report, outlining academic progress, new institutional collaborations and infrastructural developments undertaken during the year.Harsh Malhotra addressed students and faculty and spoke about the contribution of women and the relevance of the Indian value system. Governing Body Chairperson Manoj Prasad also acknowledged the college’s work.The college recognised members of the teaching and non-teaching staff for long years of service. Faculty awardees included Madhu Khanna for 40 years, Bharati Dave for 35 years and Mamta Bhushan for 25 years. Geeta Mulik from the non-teaching staff was awarded for 35 years of service.Students also received special prizes for their achievements. Kajal Mishra was awarded All Rounder Student for 2024–25 and Shradha Srivastav received the Most Talented Student award for 2024–25. Nupur, the Indian Classical and Folk Dance Society, presented a cultural performance. The college also released its latest publications featuring academic and creative work.Student Union President Rajeshwari Shelke delivered the vote of thanks. The event concluded with the National Anthem and was conducted by Kasturi, Tanushka, Kanishka and Shivangi.
