Dhanush’s manager Shreyas confirms fake casting call scam

Dhanush’s manager Shreyas confirms fake casting call scam; Manya Anand clarifies she never accused the actor’s team

TV actress Manya Anand clarified she was contacted by an impersonator claiming to be Dhanush’s manager, not his actual team. Dhanush’s manager, Shreyas, issued a statement confirming all casting calls in his name are fake and a police complaint has been filed. The public is urged to verify official numbers as no active casting is underway.

The controversy surrounding fake ‘casting calls’ made using Dhanush’s manager’s name has once again become a major talking point, with new clarifications emerging. A few days ago, TV actress Manya Anand stated in an interview that a person claiming to be Dhanush’s manager, Shreyas, had asked her for ‘adjustments’ in exchange for a film opportunity. The comment triggered a massive stir on social media. Since only a clipped portion of her interview went viral, many assumed the remarks were direct allegations against Dhanush and his manager.

Manya Anand clarifies she never blamed Dhanush’s team

Manya Anand soon issued a social media clarification, stating, “I am not blaming anyone. The person who contacted me may have been an impersonator. I have no intention of accusing Dhanush or his manager. If you watch my full interview, you will understand the truth. Some people have deliberately edited and circulated parts of the video.”

Manager Shreyas issues official statement confirming all casting calls in his name are fake

Amid rising speculations, Dhanush’s manager Shreyas released an official statement addressing the issue. “As early as January 2024 and February 2025, I publicly announced that all casting calls released under my name and in the name of Dhanush’s company Wunderbar are fake. The numbers and individuals currently going viral have no connection to me or our company. They have misused my photograph,” he stated.

Police complaint filed; public urged to verify official numbers

Shreyas further confirmed that a police complaint had already been filed. He urged the public to remain alert to prevent further scams and to verify official numbers before responding to any suspicious casting-related messages. He also clarified that there is currently no active casting or selection process being conducted for Dhanush.
