'The Girlfriend' actor Dheekshith Shetty had this EPIC response when asked about co-star Rashmika Mandanna's love life with Vijay Deverakonda

While promoting his new film ‘Bank of Bhagyalakshmi’, Dheekshith Shetty, who stars alongside Rashmika Mandanna in ‘The Girlfriend’, faced numerous inquiries about her alleged romance with Vijay Deverakonda. He maintained a respectful stance on personal boundaries, asserting that he isn’t privy to Mandanna’s private affairs and their discussions are solely focused on their cinematic endeavors.

Rashmika Mandanna and Dheekshith Shetty shared screen space in their recent release film, ‘The Girlfriend’. The movie has received appreciation for its storyline. However, amidst the buzz around the film, the lead actor of the film, can’t seem to outrun one nagging question – about his co-star’s relationship status.

Dheekshith on being asked about Rashmika’s relationship status

Dheekshith, who has been promoting his next movie, ‘Bank of Bhagyalakshmi’, has been asked in almost every media interaction about Rashmika and her love life. The actress reportedly got engaged to actor Vijay Deverakonda; however, that rumour still remains unconfirmed.In a recent interview with TV9 Kannada, Dheekshith was again questioned about the actress again. The actor then shared, “I don’t believe in encroaching on a co-actor’s personal space. That’s how you respect each other; you don’t step into their personal space, and they don’t step into yours.”The actor went on to clarify that he has no idea “what is happening in her personal life.” Shetty shared that he didn’t have “any conversation with her about this.”Dheekshith expressed that he is not interested in others’ personal lives. He stated that they always have conversations about movies and nothing else.

The Rashmika Mandanna and Dheekshith Shetty starrer arrived in theatres on November 7, 2025. According to Sacnilk, the film has earned Rs 16.29 crore at the box office. The film’s story is receiving praise, as it revolves around the subject of women’s empowerment.

The film is set to hit theatres on November 21, 2025.Apart from this, Dheekshith also has another Kannada film titled ‘Bail’ in the pipeline.
