Humane Sagar, a renowned Odia playback singer known for his soulful and impactful voice, passed away on November 17, 2025, at AIIMS Bhubaneswar. At just 34, his sudden demise sent shockwaves across Odisha, where he was widely loved for his emotive singing. Following the news, many fans revisited his final Instagram post — a brief recording from a radio studio shared on November 7 — reflecting on his enduring musical legacy and deep connection with his audience.

Viral tribute from ‘Bhagya Rekha’ performance

In a heartfelt video, the singer delivers a stirring rendition of Bhagya Rekha, a song that has recently taken over social media comment sections, with fans expressing their grief through messages like “RIP” and “Miss U.”

Health decline and hospitalization details

Hospital documents reveal that Humane Sagar was admitted on October 14. During the initial days, his health showed some variability but soon began to steadily decline. Medical professionals reported that he was being treated for bilateral pneumonia, acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF), dilated cardiomyopathy, severe respiratory failure, kidney damage, and additional complications such as coagulopathy and thrombocytopenia. Despite intensive efforts, his condition continued to deteriorate.

Official death announcement and cause

The hospital officially announced that Humane Sagar passed away at 9:08 pm on November 17. The cause of death was identified as multi-organ dysfunction. Officials stated that the medical team provided continuous and intensive care until the very end.

Music career beginnings and legacy

Humane Sagar entered the music industry with the title track of the film Ishq Hi Tu, composed by Abhijit Majumdar. This early recognition paved the way for a strong musical portfolio featuring hits like Tuma Otha Tale and Chehera.
