Malaika Arora reacts to the trolling regarding her personal life

Malaika Arora reacts to the trolling regarding her personal life, opens up on doing dance numbers: 'I've learned to focus on my truth'

Malaika Arora recently celebrated her 50th birthday but her looks completely belie her age. The actress continues to get compliments for her drop dead gorgeous looks and people comment on how she’s just getting fine with age. While Malaika also recieves her share of trolling, people shaming her for age or commenting on her personal life, in a recent interview, Malaika opened up on how she deals with trolling on social media. Throughout her journey, Malaika has frequently targetted, whether for her separation from Arbaaz Khan, raising her son Arhaan as a single mother, or choosing to embrace love again. Yet she remains steadfast in her belief that none of this noise defines her. In a conversation with Hindustan Times, she reacted to it and said, “I’ve learned to focus on my truth, and I don’t let negativity decide my self-worth. Trolls will be trolls, but I choose not to engage with that toxicity. My family, friends, and my own peace of mind matter more.”Malaika also reflects on her career path, admitting that acting never gave her what performing did amidst also being trolled for doing item numbers at this age. She said, “It’s true, acting never gave me the same rush as performing a dance number. I enjoyed it, I really did, but dance feels like home to me.”She further spoke about the evolution of the popular but often criticised “item numbers”, “Definitely, the label ‘item number’ felt a bit limiting. But today I see so many artistes taking it as a creative challenge. The focus is more on performance, concept, and how a song fits into the narrative, instead of just being a visual treat. There’s more respect for what goes into making these numbers.”
