Delhi reports of a loud explosion-like sound heard in the Mahipalpur area have caused a brief scare. Initial information suggests that around 9:18 p.m., a call was made to the fire department claiming that a blast had occurred near the Radisson Hotel in Mahipalpur. Soon after the call, three fire tenders and Delhi Police PCR teams rushed to the spot. However, Delhi Police has now declared the call as fake. After thorough checking of the entire area, officials have confirmed that no signs of an explosion or any suspicious object were found. Police teams, along with fire and disaster response units, had cordoned off the area as a precaution and verified every section around the hotel. The scene has now been cleared, and authorities have confirmed that there is no threat or evidence of a blast. This alert came at a sensitive time, as the city has been on high security following the recent Red Fort car explosion case. Agencies remain on heightened alert, ensuring no rumor or false alarm causes panic. Delhi Police has reiterated that while every emergency call is being taken seriously, the Mahipalpur blast report turned out to be a false alarm.
