NSG Departs Khandauli After Forensic Sweep; 50 CCTV Clips & Diary Tighten Net on Umar’s Route

After several hours of detailed forensic work, the NSG team has completed its operation in Khandauli village, Faridabad, where a red EcoSport suspected to be linked to the Red Fort terror module was found. Forensic experts from CFSL and local police finished collecting evidence and conducting initial checks at the secured site. The vehicle has been taken into custody for further lab analysis. Investigators are now piecing together a growing set of clues about 50 CCTV videos from different parts of Delhi-NCR, fuel station and toll booth records, and travel data tracing the suspect’s movement along the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. A diary and several notebooks recovered from the suspects’ rooms are also being decoded for possible coded references. According to sources, CCTV footage shows Dr. Umar at several locations First near the Turkman Gate mosque, where he reportedly stayed for about ten minutes, and later near Sunehri Masjid and the Red Fort area, where he waited for hours before the i20 car explosion. Forensic teams are still matching DNA samples from the blast site and checking for traces of explosives or mechanical parts inside the EcoSport and i20. The NIA, Delhi Police, NSG, ATS, and CFSL are working together to connect the evidence, identify accomplices, and trace the handlers behind the network. Officials say the on-ground sweep may be over, but digital forensics and international coordination will take more time. Authorities continue to urge calm as the investigation moves forward.
