TATA.ev, the electric vehicle arm of Tata Motors, has launched 14 new MegaChargers across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in partnership with Voltran. These are fully manned public charging stations, staffed round-the-clock to provide assistance and enable convenient EV charging without requiring an app.

With this launch, TATA.ev’s MegaCharger network has expanded to over 70 operational sites across India. The company plans to install more than 400,000 charging points, including 500 MegaChargers, by 2027 under its ‘Open Collaboration 2.0’ framework.

The new MegaChargers feature minimum 120 kW ultra-fast chargers and offer up to 25 per cent discount on tariffs for TATA.ev customers. Each location includes facilities such as air-conditioned lounges, clean washrooms, and food options.

Sites have been established across key intercity routes including the Hyderabad–Bengaluru, Hyderabad–Vijayawada, Hyderabad–Tirupati, and Vijayawada–Chennai highways, as well as along the Srikakulam–Vishakhapatnam–Vijayawada corridor

Balaje Rajan, Chief Strategy Officer at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. and Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., said, “As the EV revolution continues, the demand for accessible, widespread, and reliable charging infrastructure has become increasingly critical. In partnership with Voltran, we’re proud to inaugurate 14 TATA.ev MegaChargers across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana — the first of their kind EV charging stations manned 24/7 by trained marshals.”

Raja Sekhar Upputuri, CEO of Voltran, added, “We are excited to partner with TATA.ev to launch our co-branded TATA.ev x Voltran MegaCharger Stations across all major highways in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. These hubs are manned 24×7, and customers can pay with cash, card, or UPI post charging.”
