UP ATS Brings Dr. Shaheen’s Brother to Delhi for NIA Interrogation in Red Fort Blast Case

In a major development in the Red Fort car blast investigation, Uttar Pradesh ATS has detained Dr. Parvez, brother of Dr. Shaheen, and brought him to Delhi for questioning by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Sources reveal that Shaheen was in regular contact with her brother Parvez, which raised suspicions about his possible involvement in the alleged terror module connected to the Delhi blast. Parvez was taken into custody yesterday in Uttar Pradesh and will now face interrogation regarding his links to the accused and the network under investigation. Meanwhile, Parvez and Shaheen’s family members have expressed shock over the allegations. Their brother Shoaib stated that they had no contact with Shaheen for nearly four years and that Parvez seldom visited home. Shoaib insists his siblings could not be involved in any such activity, suggesting they may have been framed. Investigators however believe that further questioning and forensic analysis of Parvez’s digital devices including his phone and laptop may uncover crucial evidence. With both Shaheen and Dr. Umar already under scrutiny, the NIA is expanding its probe into medical professionals allegedly radicalized by extremist clerics.
