Singer Divya Kumar revealed he initially recorded ‘Tainu Ki Pata’ for Aryan Khan’s ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’ but was replaced by Diljit Dosanjh. Diljit Dosanjh crooned the song ‘Tainu Ki Pata’ from Aryan Khan’s directorial debut show, ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’. But did you know the Punjabi singer was not the first pick for the same? As per the reports, singer Divya Kumar recorded the song initially. Recently, the singer revealed why he rejected the massive compensation offered by Shah Rukh Khan’s production house.

Divya Kumar reveals he was replaced by Diljit Dosanjh

In an interview with Digital Commentary, Divya Kumar revealed that he had received “a great opportunity” from Shah Rukh Khan’s company. He added that it was for Aryan Khan’s ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’. He said, “I had originally sung ‘Tainu Ki Pata’, but later they replaced it with Diljit Dosanjh’s voice. They offered me an insane amount of money to compensate, but I refused to take it. I rejected the money because it was Shah Rukh Khan’s company. I had tears in my eyes when I was sitting in his office.”

In the same interview, Divya Kumar shared that it was SRK who made him. The playback singer stated that the actor always inspired him. He said, “Every time I was rejected from a show or competition, I would go outside Mannat and cry my heart out.” Kumar further added, “He gave me the strength to move forward. Like how others believe there’s a divine energy guiding them—for me, that energy is SRK.”

Divya Kumar has crooned Shah Rukh Khan’s song ‘Ishaqbaazi’ from Aanand L Rai’s film ‘Zero’. He sang with Sukhwinder Singh and Swagat Rathod for the song, which was composed by Ajay-Atul and penned by Irshad Kamil.
