Fans quickly began comparing 22-year-old Brady Penfield to the multi-million-subscriber creator, whose full name is Jimmy Donaldson.Many fans pointed to the similar facial structure of both, but one key difference stood out — Penfield is ginger, unlike MrBeast who has brown hair.Penfield is a self-described conservative from Wisconsin who suddenly found himself at the centre of online drams after posting a long political message on X. The post was just meant to introduce him, but it quickly went viral, triggering a massive wave of “MrBeast lookalike” memes and comparisons.Brady himself replied to one of the comments saying he looked like MrBeast, to which he responded, “Many have said this in person too.”
Who is Brady Penfield?
In the post, Penfield introduced himslef: “My name is Brady Penfield, I am 22 years old and a lifelong Wisconsinite.” He went on to explain that although he comes from a family of Dane County Democrats, he became a conservative during his junior year of high school in 2020, during what he described as the height of the Covid lockdowns. Penfield also talked about his political involvement at university, writing that he recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls, where he founded and led the UWRF College Republicans chapter for two years. He added that in the summer of 2024 he ran for the state assembly while still in college, losing the primary by just 0.8%, or 45 votes.He said he has since launched a Young Republicans chapter for St. Croix and Pierce counties, and that he has been working with Turning Point Action for ten months as the “Badger Field Rep,” building get-out-the-vote infrastructure across 39 counties in western and northern Wisconsin.Penfield ended his message with a call to action, writing: “I get things done, I don’t sit around and complain on social media, so it’s time for you all to do the same if you want to save this nation!”
