The ‘Invincible’ singer, Michael Jackson, left an indelible mark on the music industry and the broken hearts of his fans. Michael Jackson’s biopic breaks records

Titled ‘Michael,’ the film chronicles the singer’s journey from the Jackson Five to being one of the incredible performers in the world. The teaser trailer surpassed the musical biopic openings, creating more than half of the traffic than the previous top charter in the same amount of time, as per the Deadline report. In the clip, Jaafar has been seen making and practicing moves, especially the moon walk, and it also teased the ‘Thriller’ music video. “Highlighting both his life off-stage and some of the most iconic performances from his early solo career, the film gives audiences a front-row seat to Michael Jackson as never before. This is where his story begins,” as per the official synopsis. Directed by Antoine Fuqua, the biopic features Juliano Krue Valdi as young Michael, Colman Domingo as Joe Jackson, Nia Long as Katherine Jackson, Kat Graham as Diana Ross, Miles Teller as John Branca, Laura Harrier as Suzanne de Passe, and Kendrick Sampson as Quincy Jones. The screenplay has been written by a three-time Oscar award nominee, John Logan.

About ‘Michael’ and the millions

Other teaser trailers that were outperformed by ‘Michael’ include ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,’ which counted 96.1 million, ‘Bob Marley: One Love’ with 60.1 million, Bohemian Rhapsody with 57.6 million, and Bob Dylan’s ‘A Complete Unknown’ with 47.2 million. ‘Michael’ will be released on April 24, 2026.
