'Baahubali: The Epic' box office collection day 8: The Prabhas, Rana Daggubati starrer mints the LOWEST on Friday, collects less than a crore

Following the festive season, ‘Baahubali: The Epic’, starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, and Tamannaah Bhatia, made it to the big screens on October 31. It is one grand cinematic piece that combines both parts of the Baahubali universe into one mega experience. With an opening of more than Rs 10 crore, the movie saw the numbers falling right from its first Saturday. In its first week of theatrical run, it crossed the Rs 30 crore mark, but on its second Friday, the movie recorded its lowest, as it didn’t even make a crore.

‘Baahubali: The Epic’ box office collection day 8 update

According to the Sacnilk report, on its second Friday, i.e., day 8, ‘Baahubali: The Epic’ minted only 35 lakh across languages in India. If we break it down, then SS Rajamouli’s movie made Rs 22 lakhs in Telugu, Rs 5 lakhs in Hindi, Rs 1 lakh in Kannada, Rs 6 lakhs in Tamil, and Rs 1 lakh in Malayalam. On day 7, the collection was Rs 1.05 crore, so Friday witnessed a drop of more than 66% in earnings. With this, the total net collection of the ‘Baahubali: The Epic’ stands at Rs 31.1 cr in India. Meanwhile, the trade report also says that with a gross overseas collection of Rs. 12.25 cr and India’s gross collection of Rs. 36.75 crore, the worldwide business of ‘Baahubali: The Epic’ is Rs. 49 crore.

Filmmaker Prashanth Neel expressed his contentment over the movie and wrote on Instagram, “A road needed fixing. So they called a contractor to fix it. The contractor just didn’t fix the road; he transformed it into a 16-lane super express highway. That road is called Pan India, and the contractor is S.S. Rajamouli.
