Naga Chaitanya says Sobhita Dhulipala’s Telugu ‘blows him away’ as the couple nears first wedding anniversary; she says, 'Talking to him in Telugu feels like home’

As Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala approach their first wedding anniversary on December 4, 2025, the couple continues to capture fans’ attention with their warmth and chemistry. In a recent interview, the Premam star shared how one particular quality in Sobhita never fails to impress him — her effortless fluency in Telugu.Calling her a blend of modern and traditional values, Chaitanya told Vogue India, “In Mumbai, she’s the quintessential city girl — cool, hip, and forward-thinking. But when she’s back home in Vizag, she’s deeply rooted in her culture. Her Telugu just blows me away.”He added with a smile that he often teases her about “passing on her intelligence” to him, admitting that her ease with the language and her ability to stay grounded are what make her special.

“Talking to Chay in Telugu feels like home”

Sobhita, too, shared how speaking in Telugu with her husband brings her a sense of belonging she had long missed.“After living in Mumbai for so long, I got used to speaking in other languages. I had almost forgotten what it felt like to converse in Telugu with anyone other than my parents,” she said. “Talking to Chay in Telugu feels like home. It’s the language I associate with my happiest and most emotional moments.”She further revealed that the language comes to her naturally when she’s feeling deeply emotional. “Whenever I’m truly happy or upset, my thoughts automatically come out in Telugu,” she added.
