After clinching victory, the 34-year-old addressed his supporters with a speech inspired by Jawaharlal Nehru’s iconic ‘Tryst with Destiny’. After Mamdani’s speech came a Bollywood twist, as the song ‘Dhoom Machale’ began to play. His filmmaker mother, Mira Nair, was present during the celebrations
