Morgpie temporarily banned from Twitch after controversial “Dark Soles” livestream

Morgpie has once again found herself in trouble with Twitch after one of her latest livestreams led to a temporary suspension. The streamer, who is already known for testing Twitch’s content rules, recently streamed herself playing Dark Souls III in a very unusual way. Instead of showing the game normally on screen, she projected the gameplay onto the bottom of her bare feet using a green-screen effect. The stream quickly went viral online and was jokingly called “Dark Soles,” combining the name of the game with the soles of her feet. Many viewers found the idea funny, while others believed it crossed the line of what should be allowed on Twitch. Shortly after the broadcast, Morgpie revealed on X that her Twitch channel had been temporarily suspended. She later told followers that the “Dark Soles” streams would continue once her account returned.

Morgpie’s “Dark Soles” feet stream sparks another Twitch controversy

This is not the first time Morgpie has caused debate on Twitch with creative green-screen content. In the past, she became one of the most talked-about streamers during Twitch’s “nudity meta,” where creators used camera angles and other tricks to appear almost naked without actually breaking platform rules. Because of streams like those, Twitch later updated its guidelines to stop creators from focusing on certain body parts in a sexual way. Morgpie had also previously streamed gameplay projected onto her buttocks, which reportedly led Twitch to add new rules banning the use of “intimate” body parts as green screens. However, Twitch’s current policy specifically mentions body parts like breasts, groin, and buttocks, while feet are not directly included in the rules. Because of that, some viewers are now confused about why the latest stream resulted in a suspension. At the moment, Twitch has not publicly explained the exact reason behind the ban. Still, many online users believe the platform may have treated the stream as suggestive content under its broader sexual content policies. Despite the suspension, Morgpie appears ready to continue the “Dark Soles” series once her Twitch channel is restored.
