LA singer claims Gold’s Gym kicked her out after she confronted a man ‘pretending’ to be a woman in locker room

LA singer claims Gold’s Gym kicked her out after she confronted a man ‘pretending’ to be a woman in locker room

A Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter, Tish Hyman, has accused Gold’s Gym of revoking her membership after she confronted a man she claimed was “pretending to be a woman” and entered the female locker room while she was naked. The incident, which occurred at a Gold’s Gym in Los Angeles, quickly went viral after Hyman shared video footage of the confrontation on social media. Her posts have since sparked an intense public debate about women’s safety, privacy, and gym policies on gender identity.

The confrontation that went viral

In the now-viral video, Hyman can be seen confronting the individual, dressed in black with dangling earrings, after spotting him inside the women’s locker room. “Stay out of the women’s locker room! We don’t want it!” she shouted, demanding that the man’s membership be revoked. Hyman later said the same person had previously harassed her and other women at the gym. According to her account, the staff did not intervene and instead escorted her out of the facility. Hyman’s membership was subsequently terminated, which she claims was retaliation for speaking up.

“I was terrified and violated”

In multiple Instagram posts shared with her 218,000 followers, Hyman said she had filed several written reports about the man entering the women’s area before the incident escalated. She described feeling “terrified” and “violated,” adding, “I’m a woman, and I have every right not to want a man in the restroom when I’m naked.”She alleged that despite her repeated complaints, the gym “ignored my safety” and instead punished her for confronting the man. “They removed him—but then they turned around and terminated my membership too,” Hyman wrote.

Gold’s Gym under scrutiny

The Gold’s Gym location, which was recently acquired by EōS Fitness, has not released an official statement addressing the incident. Reports indicate that police were eventually called to the scene, and the man was escorted out. However, staff also asked Hyman to leave and revoked her membership on the spot. The chain’s policies regarding locker room access for transgender individuals are now under scrutiny. Social media users have flooded Gold’s Gym’s official pages with questions about member safety and the enforcement of gender-inclusive policies. Go to Source
